In Maribor...

Well, here i am. Based on the fact that i have to be somewhere i have moved to Maribor. My mission here is still to be the president of AIESEC in Slovenia, but not just that. I have decided to move here so i would be able to help AIESEC in Maribor grow.

You can never escape the fact that where ever you are you will help someone. When you get so far in AIESEC you would help anybody for all the time. No matter how much you say you wouldnt - trust me, you will do it. And if you already know you will do it, why not doing it to the one that needs your help the most?

AIESEC Maribor lacks in membership and AIESEC understanding. Therefor they dont need much, just someone to make them start and then they can continue. And that is what i will try to do. I will help them set their next few years priorities and strategies for achievement of planned results... and here we go. No, here they go!

So far we are doing great. We already started promoting AIESEC amongst students of EPF in order to assure the necessary membership - and even more important to give students opportunity to change their lifes in positive way. Eventhough the promotion didnt really started in its full planned size we already have six members in first info meeting. That is really success if you count in the fact that we have just informed one class of people about AIESECs existence. More promotion we will do on monday and tuesday... and then we expect far more people on next info meeting. Well that is about Maribor... More will soon be available on aiesecmaribor.blogspot.com!

But there are some things common to whole AIESEC Slovenia...
You have to know that we dont need quantity but quality. That is why we will - if too many people apply - select among them who will stay.

The next step are two meetings of local committees where we will give them detailes on what is AIESECs background - why we exist, what is our role in the world and what we strive for. The induction phase will end with motivational seminar in Kranjska gora where we expect to have around 50 slovene and 20 international delegates. We will as well have international chair and two international facilitators. That is how we want to show our newies the first step of AIESECs internationality. Furthermore they will have to find it out themselves... we will just give the opportunities.

From that time on we are going to the 'real work'. They will be alocated to teams and they will start their next stage in their own AIESEC experience.
