MC CEEDer in Slovenia - Monika Zawilska from Poland

Hello!

Previous friday we got a CEEDer in AIESEC Slovenia. Becouse of this I decided that I'm going to write in english on our blog during her staying in Slovenia.

Her name is Monika Zawilska (Moni$), she is 21 years old and comes from Koszalin in Poland. At the moment she is president of Local Committee Koszalin. She will stay here till 15th of September. She will be working mostly on recruitment and promotion.

1. day (10.08.2007):

I picked her up at the main bus station in Ljubljana at 12pm. Then we drove to Kranj where she will be staying during her CEED. I showed her the room and then we went to sleep.

2. day (11.08.2007):

In the morning we had breakfast together. Then we went to the shop. Roki (AIESEC member in Kranj) and his girlfriend Mandy from Hong Kong joind us. After shopping we went to Šmarjetna mountain above Kranj. We enjoyed the view on Kranj from there. From the mountain we went back to student dorm to have lunch. In the afternoon we visited center of Kranj. We saw the old part of the city, the monument of dr. France Prešeren (the most famous poet of Slovenia), the main catholic church in Kranj (St. Kancijan) and the canyon of river Kokra. Below you can see some pictures of the day.

3. day (12.08.2008):

We got up and decided that the weather is good enough to go to Bled (one of the most beautiful and tourist cities in Slovenia). We visited the castle above Bled and then went to take a swimm in the lake. It was a wonderful day and we both enjoyed it very much. Below you can find some pictures from Bled.

4. day:

After a great weekend it was time to show Monika the office where she will be working. The office is based in Kranj, on the Faculty of organizational sciences. It belongs to Local Committe Kranj. We talked more about her work and the LC visits that she is going to do in the beginning of her CEED. In the evening I went back to Ljubljana and she started to work.

Before I went home we agreed that Monika will visit me in Ljubljana on thursday. I will show her around and then on friday take her to meet with LC Ljubljana, becouse she is going for the weekend with them to Jesenice.

Till the next time!
