Reinforcements from Brasil!

As you might have already known, we had some problems electing the national committee of AIESEC in Slovenia last year. This resulted in our national committe not having enough members. There were only three of us until now, while ideally there should have been at least four or even five. This is why we decided to invest some money and efforts into getting some reinforcements from another AIESEC country. In December we released international applications and later choose Diego Paim from to be our External Relations CEED-er. CEED stands for Cultural Envoy for Exchange Development, which is AIESEC's programme of internal exchange within AIESEC, where an AIESEC member goes to another country to either get or give the knowledge on specific area to a committee from another country.

Diego arrived to Slovenia last week. He will be staying here at least until the end of June. He will be working in the area of External Relations, which means product development, proposal design, establishing and servicing partnerships, etc.

I went to pick him up on the train station. He took the train from Milan where he was visiting his relatives before coming to Slovenia. For the first couple of days he was staying in my appartment in Ljubljana, where we had to kick some bureaucracy assess together, get him a Slovenian phone number and so on. After some fun days in Ljubljana we moved him to a hostel in Kranj, hopefully only temporarily, until we find an appartment for our national committee of AIESEC in Slovenia. If you – the blog reader – know about any cheap appartment for 4-6 people to move in, let us know (mail to uross@si.aiesec.org). If you are a company willing to sponsor us in this aim, also let us know. We can set up a meeting and hopefully you will like what we can offer you in return. ;)

I am not going to tell you too much of how Diego feels about comming to Slovenia since he is a better person to tell you this. I can only say that we are very happy to have him here. So, i would like to express the official welcome to Diego on this blog! You can expect his post on this blog soon!
